OUR MISSION STATEMENT:

The Veterans of Vietnam Motorcycle Club (VoV MC) is a military veteran’s motorcycle club dedicated to maintaining the special friendships and associations developed by Vets during their service to our country in the Vietnam War era. We are a Veteran's only MC. As such, we are neutral and are not involved in territorial disputes or the business of other Motorcycle Clubs. We are not a 1% Club nor do we pretend to be. Our only interests are in Vietnam War Era Veterans and their issues and those affecting all Veterans.

Our main mission is to support veteran’s charities, in whatever form, by means of personal involvement, either through volunteerism, or fundraising events. In particular, Veterans Hospitals and Veterans Nursing homes are charities to which we hold special allegiance. Our Motto: Vets Helping Vets.

We offer qualified veterans a unique opportunity to continue to enjoy these friendships through the brotherhood of motorcycling. The threads that bind the fabric of the VoVMC are the respect for the sacrifices made by all veterans. As a motorcycle club, we are dedicated to enhancing the image of motorcyclists, at the same time seeking to ensure that all veterans and their families have the opportunity to freely associate with one another, without fear for their safety and welfare. These are fundamental rights guaranteed by the Constitution of the United States and we all took an oath to uphold and protect them from all enemies both foriegn and domestic.

We are looking for Brothers who ride...not patch collectors or weekend warriors. We require all new alpplicants to Prospect. If you own an 883 cc motorcycle or better, are a Vietnam Veteran or Vietnam War Era Veteran and served between 1959 and 1975 you are elligable to apply. Remember..the VoV MC has members from all Branches of the Military and ALL MOS's or Job Specialties, we don't have any restrictions on what job you did in the Military or after. We are truely about Veterans and not games. If you are looking to join a great veteran's club..Please give us a good hard look. You will find that we are about Brotherhood, fellow Vets and issues that affect all Veteran's. The VoV MC requires a new man to Prospect for a time because it takes more to belong to a motorcycle club than filling out paperwork, paying dues, and putting on a patch. The Prospect period is more about you finding out if we are what you want and for us to see if you will fit into the MC. You have to be committed and support the club. You have to ride out of state on occasion and to be Patched In. The members of this MC become family. You do all you can to help your family. If your club member needs help, you need to be there without hesitation, worry, or fear...just do it. Always have your brother's back. It takes time but you need to be ready, willing and able to do whatever it takes. That's why most people don't want to be part of a motorcycle club. They don't want to be committed or give the time. We don't want wannabee's, patch collectors, or people lacking commitment or grit. We want brothers...brothers we can depend on who are willing to do for the club whatever needs to be done. If you aren't ready and willing to do this, don't sign up. Don't hope you will slide in because you will not be accepted. Don't waste your time and don't waste our time. Give us the respect...because by God..we've earned it and no one is ever going to take that away!!!

The members of this club have something special. Not many Americans can be part of this club. WE ARE A DYING BREED..when we die this club will die...but our memory will live on if we have HONOR now. We are an elite class of Veterans. We served our country when it wasn't popular to do so! It didn't matter if we were in-country, supporting, or serving wherever our government wanted us. We did it with pride and commitment. We've been there, done that. We understand what the soliders now are going through. We pledge NEVER, NEVER, NEVER have them feel what we felt. When you wear the patch, you represent all of us. GIVE RESPECT AND GET RESPECT BUT NEVER BE INTIMIDATED. Be an ass and get treated like an asshole. We are committed to the brotherhood of the VOVMC and ride for those who can't. Ride safe and be proud of who you are! HIGH DESERT HARLEY DAVIDSON, Meridian, Idaho (next to Boise) I stopped at quite a few Harley Dealers along the way in the last few years and at each one I asked them.."Do you give a Veterans Discount?" Sadly I only found one...but I am proud that the one is HIGH DESERT HARLEY DAVIDSON in Meridian, Idaho. They give a 10 percent discount on all their clothes, parts and service if you show them a VA card, military ID or just have enough Veteran's patches on. It adds up and is greatly appreciated...but it brings about a point I would like to make...we are involved in two wars at this very moment and we have been involved in seven open military conflicts since I was born. I constantly hear people talking about how much they appreciate their Veteran's and what we have done for the country and without our sacrafice...Bla bla bla....because that is what it is...just talk..Just words so that you can look politically correct..which is what is so damn important these days. People..STEP UP like High Desert HD and DO SOMETHING...don't just flap your lips...believe me...as a Vietnam Combat Veteran...I have heard plenty of that in the last 40 years.... 12/2010...The list is starting to grow...I received word that the MONTANA HARLEY DAVIDSON in Missoula and Kalispell, Montana are givng Vets a 10% Discount...just show an ID or VA card..Way to go Montana!!.......2/2011....Man the list is starting to grow. Maybe when you're in your Dealers or any business you can mention this list and nudge them into some Patriotism. ...HEY let's keep this ball rolling!!
